What a busy month! The team on site have been working hard at completing all the necessary demolition and remediation works to prepare the site for construction. The team are striving to pick up the schedule, having discovered several unexpected challenges on site.
The first challenge discovered was asbestos across the site and remediation works are currently underway. The other challenge was uncovered during demolition when several layers of concrete slab were discovered. Much like the rings on a tree, these slabs tell the story of the development and expansion of the club, with the first slab most likely from the original clubhouse constructed in 1940 and the most recent from the extensions carried out in 1970.
The team are working hard to develop a time-lapse video of the entire demolition period of your project and this will be included in the next newsletter. In the meantime, you can keep up to date by registering for our monthly newsletters.
